A melting pot for Maharashtrians in vibrant Germany, the Marathi Katta Germany (MKG) provides the platform where denizens of the most dynamic state in India meet, socialize, exchange notes and celebrate occasions – including festivals - all under one roof. A home away from home, MKG endeavors to connect Maharashtrians with one another while sharing the spirit of Maharashtra. Marathi Katta Germany e.V. is a non-profit organization and Our mission is to promote cultural ties among people interested in Maharashtrian culture from various parts of the world.
This year MKG is celebrating 10th year of our beloved Katta, and we would like to thank you for all your love & support. In last ten years we could organize more than 200 events and it was only possible because of your generous support and active participation in various activities.

We have a core committee to manage these initiatives / day to day operations as well as various events at Katta.
Kindly make a note that, this is a team of active volunteers and Marathi Katta Germany e.V. as a registered organization do not pay these core team members / volunteers.
We are a 100% non profit organization(eingetragener Verein (e.V.) registered and as per the German law the e.V. is used only for the non commercial activities.
Non profit organizations are dependent on its registered members who voluntarily contribute towards organization so that organization can function in a smooth way.
MKG is launching membership drive today
Our annual Katta membership period will be 1st Oct 2023 to 31st December 2024
To become a registered member of Katta an individual ( any person above 8 years) needs to contribute one Euro/month (EUR 12 per year) .
If there is a family of two adults' membership will be 12 x 2=24 Euros

There's a flat 25% discount for MKG School if your kid is joining MKG School & both parents have taken membership.
There’s a flat 10% discount for MKG School if your kid is joining MKG School & only one parent have taken membership.
Registered members can participate in person in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to get MKG details, including financial statements. They will also get a chance to vote for the future core committee in the AGM.
They have a chance to be part of the MKG Core Team based on contributions (minimum end-to-end support on field as a volunteer for 2 flagship events).
Registered members also have the opportunity for celebrity meet and greet.
They receive special discounts and priorities for MKG Merchandise
Registered members are entitled to a designated sitting area for MKG Events in front rows (provided arrival is on a specific time).

Suspension of Membership Clause
1. Purpose
This clause outlines the conditions and procedures under which a member of Marathi Katta Germany e.V. may have their membership suspended.
2. Grounds for Suspension
In general, the core team of Marathi Katta Germany e.V. reserves the right suspend the membership of any member. Membership in Marathi Katta Germany e.V may be suspended for any of the following reasons:
• Violation of the organization's bylaws, rules, or policies.
• Any conflicting activities in direct competition of Marathi Katta Germany e.V’s core activities
• Actions that are detrimental to the mission or reputation of the organization.
• Non-payment of dues or fees, if applicable.
• Unethical or illegal behavior.
• Abusive or inappropriate behavior
3. Suspension Process
3.1 Initiation: A suspension process can be initiated by a written complaint submitted to the core team by any member or officer of the organization. The suspension process can also be initiated if the core team takes cognizance of breach of any of points above
3.2 Review: The Core team will review the complaint within 2 weeks to determine if there is sufficient cause for suspension.
3.3 Notification: If the Core team determines that there is sufficient cause, the member in question will be notified in writing. This notification will include:
• The reason(s) for the proposed suspension.
4. Reinstatement
A suspended member may apply for reinstatement after new membership cycle begins
5. Appeals
A member may appeal the suspension decision within 14 days of receiving the decision. The appeal must be submitted in writing to the Core Team, outlining the reasons for the appeal. The Board will review the appeal and issue a final decision within next 14 days.
6. Confidentiality
All proceedings related to the suspension of membership will be conducted in a confidential manner to protect the privacy of the member and the integrity of the organization
