A melting pot for Maharashtrians in vibrant Germany, the Marathi Katta Germany (MKG) provides the platform where denizens of the most dynamic state in India meet, socialize, exchange notes and celebrate occasions – including festivals - all under one roof. A home away from home, MKG endeavors to connect Maharashtrians with one another while sharing the spirit of Maharashtra. Marathi Katta Germany e.V. is a non-profit organization and Our mission is to promote cultural ties among people interested in Maharashtrian culture from various parts of the world.
This year MKG is celebrating 10th year of our beloved Katta, and we would like to thank you for all your love & support. In last ten years we could organize more than 200 events and it was only possible because of your generous support and active participation in various activities.
Today MKG has many initiative such as
MKG is launching a membership drive as of 15.02.2025.
Our annual Katta membership period will be 1st April 2025 to 31st Mar 2026.
To become a registered member of Katta, (any individual above 8 years) should be happy to contribute as below:
For an Individuals it will be EUR 20 per year.
For Family of two adults including their kids (non-earning kids), membership will be 40 Euros.

Discounts:
There will be up to 15% discount for MKG flagship events such as Makar Sanranti, MKG Vardhapan Din/Maharashtra Din, MKG Ganpati and MKG Diwali.
There's a flat 25% discount for MKG School if your kid is joining MKG School & If you have taken Family membership.
AGM:
Registered members* will be able to participate in person in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to understand and discuss plans. (in case of individual membership, non-registered members/partners will not be allowed)
Vote Rights:
Registered members will also get a chance to vote for the future core committee positions in the AGM.
To Be Core Team:
Only registered members will have a chance to be part of the MKG Core Team based on contributions in previous MKG events (end-to-end support on field as a volunteer for 4 MKG events).
Additional Perks:
Registered members can also have the opportunity for celebrity ‘greet and meet’ based on celebrity’s availability.
Previous membership is already invalid as of 31.12.2024.
